Non-Transportable and Prohibited Items Policy

Independence Moving provides professional moving services while strictly adhering to federal and local laws, transportation regulations, and internal safety standards. To protect the health, safety, and property of our clients, as well as to ensure legal compliance, we restrict the transportation of certain categories of items.

Our company assumes no liability for damages, loss, or consequences resulting from the transportation of items that fall under prohibited or not recommended categories. We strongly recommend that clients consider the following guidelines when preparing for their move.

Item Categories

These items are categorically prohibited from transport under federal regulations, including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements:

  • Consult with a Independence Moving manager before packing to discuss the transportability of specific items
  • All prohibited items must be removed from the shipment
